We will have no school in honor of Veterans Day on Tuesday, November 11th, 2025. Veterans Day is the day set aside to thank and honor ALL those who served honorably in the military – in wartime or peacetime. Veterans Day is intended to thank veterans for their service, to acknowledge that their contributions to our national security are appreciated, and to underscore the fact that all those who served - not only those who died - have sacrificed and done their duty.
Thank you Veterans!
Thank you Veterans!

A message from Coach Grady on the Nike Hole in the Wall Invitational:
On Friday, October 10th, the Sultan Middle School Cross Country team hit the road to Lakewood High School to compete in the legendary Nike Hole in the Wall Invitational—one of the biggest and most exciting meets of the season!
Lakewood's course is always fast and fun, and once again, our Skyhawks showed up ready to FLY! 💨
👟 Girls' Race Highlights:
The sun came out just in time for our Lady Skyhawks to shine! With over 120 runners in the race, it was a packed start—but our girls stayed strong and fearless from the very first stride.
🔥 Sahalee Williams and Evelyn Weber led the charge, and we had three of our lady athletes make the podium! 🏅
Here’s how they crushed it:
🥈 Evelyn Weber (6th grade) placed 2nd with a blazing time of 12:10!
🏅 Karmaj Mireles (6th grade) took 10th with a time of 14:25 – her BEST race yet!
🏅 Sahalee Williams (8th grade) grabbed 5th in her grade and also took 9th overall out of all girls, earning a spot on the big stage and a Nike backpack! 🎒👏
Shoutout to Lyla Nicewanner for having her best race of the season—taking a massive 4 minutes off her previous time! That's what hard work looks like!
🏃♂️ Boys' Race Highlights:
Our 8th grade boys brought the heat too!
🏅 Jensen Neilson raced his way to a 14th place finish with a strong time of 11:01, earning a ribbon!
💥 Caleb Martinell and Jayden Dillahunt had an epic finish, pushing each other all the way to the end!
🚀 John Hanna showed just how much he's improved, running his fastest time of the season thanks to all the effort he’s put in at practice!
Way to go, Skyhawks! 💙 Your energy, teamwork, and grit were on full display, and we couldn't be more proud. Up next the team travels to Granite Falls this Wednesday. 🦅💪
